Executive Committee
The Executive Committee provides the operational leadership of PAAPL—guiding its programs, partnerships, communications, and day-to-day activities. Each member brings both strategic insight and hands-on experience leading advanced practice providers in health systems across the state.
The Executive Committee meets monthly to implement PAAPL’s strategic priorities and serve as the operational engine of the organization.
Standing Committees
PAAPL’s work is organized through a set of standing committees that reflect the core functions of our mission: policy, governance, education, and member engagement. These committees are the engines of the organization—advancing initiatives, generating resources, and ensuring PAAPL remains responsive to the needs of advanced practice leaders across the Commonwealth.
To ensure alignment and cross-functional leadership, all standing committee chairs hold a permanent seat on PAAPL’s Executive Committee. This structure guarantees that each committee has a direct voice in the organization’s strategy, operations, and decision-making processes.
Executive Committee
Charged with conducting business as directed by the PAAPL Board of Directors between membership meetings. This committee shall also have the power to conduct activities normally reserved for the PAAPL Board of Directors when circumstances require it. The President shall server as the chair person for the Executive Committee.
Policy Committee
Leads PAAPL’s advocacy work and tracks key state and federal policy issues affecting APPs. Educates members on legislative developments and formulates organizational responses.
Bylaws Committee
Maintains and interprets PAAPL’s governing documents, ensuring that our bylaws remain relevant, functional, and aligned with our growth. Plays a key role in elections and structural governance.
Membership Committee
Manages member engagement, onboarding, and growth. Coordinates the liaison member program and supports the nomination and election process for leadership roles.
Finance & Reimbursement Committee
Supports financial stewardship and manages internal reimbursement policies. Provides guidance on organizational budgeting and sustainable funding strategies.
Each standing committee has the ability to form working groups or subcommittees to tackle emerging issues, develop educational materials, or lead time-limited projects. These groups are open to general members and represent an ideal way to get involved, contribute expertise, and shape the future of advanced practice leadership in Pennsylvania.
